Martin Tyler is obsessed about this. He referenced it recently whilst commentating on a Liverpool game by saying 'and it needs to be known he did play again 3 days later' (or words to that effect). The Liverpool fans abused Ederson as he was being stretchered off the pitch that day. The next game against Liverpool when Mane scored past Ederson Martin Tyler shouted 'Revenge!'. Why would you say such stuff? I have no idea.

Whats the reason behind the mirrors love in of that lot? Never see an article in that paper that doesnt kiss their arse.

I assume that the Mirror, misguidedly, believe that no RS would read the S*n. So are just playing to their believed target audience.

Ironically, Evertonians seem to be the fanbase that most strictly observes the boycott of the S*n. So the Mirror's readership probably has more Evertonians than RS.

You know what's really distasteful, not acknowledging Heysal for over 30 yrs and then doing some token mural on the kop because there was an opportunity for some good PR. Juventus fans gave it the treatment it deserved. Heysal quickly reverted back to an airbrushed part of their history and the mere suggestion or use of the word is met with claims of 'bitterness'. But yeah, Digne having a laugh with a card over a player who everyone could see wasn't injured and plainly played on an has trained since, is somehow the height of being distasteful and warrants fume an outrage from some no mark journalist because it fits the narrative.
