ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I think everyone needs to go easy on Danny Murphy. He clearly said 'best defender he's ever seen'.

Anyone who has ever heard his punditry will know he's only ever seen Liverpool play. They will also know that during the entire game, he's only concentrated on the Liverpool players.

So what he's saying is, Van Dijk is better than Hyppia. And to give him a bit of credit, that certainly is debatable.

Anyone else remember when Mane was sent off against Man City for attempting to sugically remove Ederson's head with his boot, and there was a week long enquiry in the media about it. The match report actually read 'Mane was sent off after his right boot made contact with Ederson's face' - and they STILL banged on about it for months on end as the greatest miscarriage of justice since Dastardly and Muttley were cheated out of a win on Wacky Races. His boot was five foot up in the air! Lamppost Scruff could have got hurt falling off it.

They got annihilated 5-1 in that game, and STILL claimed the sending off (of a striker, no less) caused them to ship the remaining four goals and lose

This whole furore is nothing, it's just business as usual for these Kool-Aid swilling loons...

Mate, they claimed all season that that's what cost them the league, I'm sure they finished miles behind them and were already losing at the time?

One of the best in the prem I saw was a pre injury young Jonathan woodgate, was outstanding as a youngster.

Edit

I think he may be pre prem even
That's a brilliant shout. Woodgate played for Real Madrid. Until you've played for a huge club like that, you can't be the greatest of all time.

So Van Dijk is yet to over take Woodgate's career. He's 29 and just had a nasty injury. He best get his skates on.

I have to say, the last couple of days have been glorious.
It's surreal . The pandemic has ravaged the city , the government has thrown us under the bus , people losing their jobs and businesses failing . A hurt knee on a very well paid player has caused more headlines than the huge amount of deaths in the area .
I wouldn't believe the story if it was told to me in January . It's absurd .
