ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I mean I'd love to know who they think they are impressing with the old "my 3rd cousins, mates, wifes, boss once visited New Brighton and has the Boys from the Blackstuff complete set on DVD" routine. You are on a forum full of people from Liverpool. Nobody is interested in who your grandma was.

I notice he's not even made an attempt to defend the fact neither he, nor either of his parents are from Liverpool. It's just some pathetic attempt to LARP at being a scouser with his "heritage".

My late father's family was from Liverpool going back several generations. But that does not make me scouse, just an Evertonian. I was born and will die a Canadian.

I genuinely feel sorry for my red mates, their club is riddled with embarrassing out of towners. In contrast ours and other clubs out of towners are sound. God knows what happens to them, I just cringe for my mates.

We haven't allowed ourselves to be colonised in the same way, surrendering all principles for some rich tories from the home counties.

They can but everything they say normally ends in #YNWA or #6 times even when it’s not about footy

#NSNO

They seem to want to live off being "unbearable". It's a very odd ambition for your life, basically wanting everyone to dislike you. However they are mostly inbecilic as opposed unbearble. It just comes across as learning difficulties.

I don't know any United fans who sign everything off with 20. Probably because they know they'd look like a massive nonce for doing so, so it's not the image they are going for.

They dont get it mate. Never will, cos they dont havnt any cogent link with the city. Those like me, marooned for 40 plus years in Bristol, still know what it is. (but actually dont, cos it just is) Folk like me will still have family there, Dads with a (faint) scouse twang, and when drink has been taken, even my native tongue will make an appearance. Amuses Mrs R no end.

I don't mind where people are from. What they and their fans do is appropriate a culture that doesnt belond to them though. It's cultural appropriation, or slumming it as it's otherwise known.

Essentially what you do, is you attribute a set of values you think a group of people have, normally based on a crass caricature, and then trip over yourselves to attempt to fulfil it. It's just embarrassing. As comes across when a guy with a grandma allegedly from the city is harping on about his scouse "heritage" to try and win an argument on a forum full of people frm the city.

I forgot that Liverpool lost to Chelsea in the cup; I remember beating them 2-1 at the Bridge, 5-3 at Anfield, on penalties in the Super cup after a 2 all draw & obviously yesterday win as well.

Does that answer your rather odd question?

I mean it doesn't. I've not come online and said Liverpool have never beaten Chelsea though, so listing the times you've beaten them is rather silly. The issue seems to be that you aren't aware you lost to them recently.
