ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I did a Howard Keel in 'The Day Of The Triffids' last night.

Sleeping tablet, darked out room, and slept through it all. ;)
You missed some comedy gold all the mob trying their best to look excited collecting their medals and failing miserably .

Around midnight I came across a post on Twitter of Salah cradling the tin pot on the team coach ( Sweet Caroline playing quietly in the background )
Absolutely zero atmosphere , nobody singing or cheering and immediately thought ....
I'd seen / had more excitement on a school outing to Chester Zoo as a kid and this was supposed to be the best night of their lives !

Do you think LFC could have stopped that ch league game.?
Think about it. NO.
The pier head get together was prompted all day by the LIVERPOOL ECHO.

Good to hear, I have now got to swerve newspapers and most TV for the next few weeks, and it's mission accomplished.

Klopp is literally the guy who gives it large behind his bigger mates back,
Guarantee he'd have pooed himself with no officials between them
I was trying to think who Billy Colgate looked like when he runs up and down the touchline in frenzy creaming in his pants. I realised who it was and it was Jerry Lewis. Only Jerry was an actor and this clown is not

Everton fans trying to attend a derby

Compare that to the Herculian effort of exclusion zones and fan dispersal by Merseyside police,no bias at all
But those fans mysteriously appeared. Almost like they had just left the houses around the area where they'd be hiding for 365 days a year just to come out for a derby match. They spoke in an incomprehensible language and didn't even wear full kit. We've never seen customers like this before said the koppite chief conman.

Liverpool have released a statement after nine people were arrested as fans gathered outside Anfield following the club's trophy-lifting final home game.

Police issued a dispersal order to clear about 3,000 fans from Anfield.

"Liverpool Football Club would like to thank those supporters who stayed at home to celebrate the team lifting the trophy last night, protecting their loved ones and our city from the ever-present threat of this pandemic," read the statement.

"We are, however, disappointed with the scenes outside Anfield last night and that more supporters did not heed the celebrate at home advice.

"As we have said before, when it is safe to do so we will celebrate, until then protecting our city is the priority."

Wow, didn't see that coming....
Ban them then.
Spitty Garagher ignored previous advice, crack on

Great job that of enforcing their own dispersal order placed yesterday at 21:30. They only went home at 2am because they were knackered, nothing to do with the police.

im amazed they are reporting this as a success after publicly declaring a dispersal order. Surely this proves their incompetence and ignorance of their own rules/laws on the public domain.

Because no one was murdered or killed on the night, it will now be viewed as a triumph of restraint.
I can see another cup coming the -

'We went against all advice during a pandemic, but we didn't kill anyone (on the night*) trophy 2020'

Congratulations

To some that might be true - and you can say what you like about almost anyone commenting on Twitter about almost any subject as far as I’m concerned, especially football - but to many, including many blues in this city and further afield, and other people that have suffered at the hands of the authorities and had to crawl over broken glass to get their voices heard and justice recorded, that’s a disgracefully insulting “take”, and personally I’d rather you didn’t say it or anything like it again.

It was more aimed at those who roll out the phrase(S) willy nilly as some sort of defence mechanism if anyone dares criticise anything about their club. You see it all the time - accusations of waving copies of the sun and people spitting on memorials - when a result hasn’t gone their way as well.

I apologies if it came across as insensitive and I fully understand that it was a truly torrid time to those who suffered, but unfortunately there are those who jump on the bandwagon for me and for me that is disrespecting the victims and the families.

again sorry if I caused any offence
