ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Are you for real? They're top of the league by a record number of points but the world is crumbling around them? The other day you were saying their title win was written by Evertonian gods.

I wish I could have some more of what you're on because you are seeing a bed of roses rather than a steaming pile of poo!
Hello blue boy

Liverpool Football Club has apologised after an "error" led to a Hillsborough reference appearing on designs for a piece of merchandise.

An error they called it. How could it be an error, Nike must have shown the LFC merchandise people the design, possibly even one of the balls before they went on sale and they’ve said ‘yeah, sound them’
Horrible club.

Never ever their fault. Feel sorry for the families.

The only reason that 96 ball has been withdrawn is because they've been pulled on it, as some others have said the marketing department obviously approved of it, it went into production, and images have been released, make no mistake if they hadn't been pulled on it they would've sold them as quickly as they could make them.

They were clearly testing the water, they will again.

Once something slips through that’ll be it then. They’ll have licence to do what they want.

It’s shameful behaviour.

It's one of the most infuriating things about them. Hillsborough could have happened to any set of fans in that era it was a combination of poor facilities, fan culture and, at best, neglect from the authorities and, at worst, malice from them. We all remember how both the city and the football world came together in sorrow at the event and anger at the cover up.

To see them over the years try to make it into a brand and part of their glorious myth and to weaponise it whenever they are criticised is sickening. How can you attempt to make money off the deaths of 96 people without even consulting their families?

They have done exactly that and very succesfully as well.
Now Martin Samuel is not everyones cup of tea but he wrote this in his column today in the Daily Fail:

'Reds' sponsor not in line with club
As this country prepares to offer a way out to three million Hong Kong residents faced with draconian attacks on their freedoms from China, it is worth remembering the role played by Standard Chartered, Liverpool's sponsors. They make much of their profit in Asia and openly expressed support for the new security laws. Much is made of the politics of Liverpool, both city and football club, but let's not pretend.

Jurgen Klopp may get the city, but those who employ him — let's just say they are comfortable in their world, too.'

He knows. We Know. The world knows. It's just that everyone is scared to death to actually say it.

Those posts really angered you didn’t they?

Makes you wonder what products they have stamped the Hillsborough symbol on to make a few quid, these advertising decisions are not taken lightly, customers the lot of them.

"Jurgen Klopp may get the city...".

His grandad in the Luftwaffe did.

'kin Nazi.

I see the RS Chief of Merseyside Police, Andy Cooke, is saying he couldn’t have done anything differently (Pontius Pilate comes to mind) as he would have needed 5,000 Police to have stopped or dispersed the crowds at the Pier Head And only has 3,700. He was responding to criticism from the Liverpool Mayor and stated that only he is responsible for Police Operations. Well, as he is responsible, can he explain the total lack of Police at this gathering which led to his own officers being attacked later that night.

As a bit of a competition, how many of his 3,700 Hi Viz coppers can you spot in this picture ?.....answers on a postcard....

Hope he gets sacked, takes a real saddo to not do their job properly because of the team they support. After the farce with no arrests over the man City bus incident he can't be trusted to be impartial. I'm not even from the area and it annoys me.

I'm amazed they haven't blamed some imaginary chelsea-supporting intern.

Utter horrible scum. Its not an effing typo, that's what an error is.

If there was no sales to be made from the jft96 campaign, would they even care about the families? I fully expect that cult to completely turn their backs on the families like they did with shankley, only for Everton to show them once again how a football club actually should be run.

People only support them now because they're totally oblivious to how horrible a run cult they are.
