ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Just hope Madrid get an away goal. Makes it a lot harder for the filthy Reds then. That said, fully expect them to get through by hook or by crook. They know they are Premier League winners, but a crushing home defeat to Atletico would take the gloss off their season.

I >think< the permutations are as follows (assuming Liverpool winning their next 3 games pre-Derby vs West Ham, Watford and B’mouth)

If City get 5 points from Leicester (a), Man Utd (a) and Burnley (h) then Liverpool can win the league with a win in the derby. BUT, no guard of honour before kick off.

If City get MORE than 5points from those games, then it’s not possible for Liverpool to have wrapped the league up either at or before the derby. So 2 more wins and we’re sound.

If City get LESS than 5 points from those games, then they’ll be champions before kick off at Goodison and a guard of honour will be a talking point.

Essentially, for the nightmare scenario to take place, they’d still need City to drop points in TWO of those 3 admittedly tricky games.

Perhaps it's wishful thinking but, as inconsistent as City have been, and even with their eyes clearly on the CL games with Madrid, I can’t see them dropping points in two of those games.

RS 26-76 and potentially 3-9 becomes 29-85

City 26-54 if they drop 3 points in 3 games, so 29-60. This means they only reach 87

Bottom line is if City lose ANY one of the three games (or say WDD) the title could be secured with four wins

SO THE BAD NEWS IS DEFINITELY ON

And I would expect Pep to make changes on Saturday vs Leicester, given they have Madrid on Wednesday

I wrote a letter to Jurgen Klopp a few weeks ago.

'Dear Mr Klopp, how about losing a couple of games and giving everyone else a chance'.

The guy's sheer class, and replied to me.

'Fcuk off you bitter bluenose cretin'.

:(

Nah, would prefer a full on Simeone 0-0 masterclass full of time-wasting, diving, rollong around and general snide.
