ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Normal service resumed then sadly. Divine right to win every single game and complain when they don't.

If you went back in time then you could probably see that reaction after any defeat they have. A club who apparently shouldn't be getting beat by anyone
To be fair Mark 'the sage' Lawrenson has had them unbeaten for the last 20 odd years I think.

And they wonder where the "always the victims" thing comes from - their sense of entitlement is beyond belief!

Made up we have Carlo, but if there is one gaffer on the planet i could have it would be simeone, not one ounce of backstep in his teams

Absolutely horrific to watch though. Argentinian Gravy-Ball. Never really been consistent goal scorers, one of the lowest scorers in La Liga this year, last night was a classic Simeone performance.

Depends what you want to see, I guess. It’s pragmatic and gritty, it’s very effective, but it’s not easy to watch week-in week-out.

You best tell their fans then.

Their fans love him, but they have vastly different expectations to a Real Madrid, for example, where the aim is not just to win, but to win well.

I’m not saying Atletico fans enjoy bad Football, that’s not the case, but they evidently haven’t had the silverware of their cross town rivals so, as you’d expect, they measure their success in other ways.

As the underdog, they relish those kind of gritty performances. And, although very admirable, they certainly aren’t one for the purists. That’s what Simeone has churned out there, very successfully, for the best part of a decade now.
