ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

United players totally unaware of their “welcome” because they’re all either on their phones or watching the telly that’s in the headrests.

I put Mourinho's 04-05 team as the PL best so far.

Unbelievable defence with Terry and Cavalho, Essien Lampard Makalele midfield and Drogba Robben and Cole front 3, Cech in goal as well. Hard to score against, 14 goals conceded and they could grind games down and also blow you away by 4-5 goals.

They would shut Pep's great City side of 18 and 19 with ease.
Cech didn't sign until much afterwards, Moyes wanted him but it was during the no money for the manager period.

Cudicini I was a big fan of at the time though. Fantastic shot stopper and very under rated

Edit- actually I'm wrong, wow, way off actually.

there was a section on a R4 programme (More or Less) on Friday, this programme normally looks at statistics and how they are portrayed and how misleading they can be. Anyway, they Ran a section on the RS asking are the best ever or just lucky. They used there Expected goals algorithm thingy (I don't know what that is or how it works) and ran over 800 computer runs of how games would have played out, and the best of these computer simulations only had the RS about 10 points ahead, most had City much closer, so the long and short of it is that they are luckier than the luckiest of predictions (or something else is at play).
I’m saying they’re not, but that xG thing seems like a load of rubbish to me.

move no idea of the maths or stats behind it or how it works but they show it on motd after each match and it never seems to be anywhere near the actual score.

I get it, teams will score more or less than expected, but other than in obvious nil-nils where neither team carve out a chance of note, it’s never anywhere near the right score, which says to me it’s a load of rubbish.

a point that is neither here nor there in relation To your post, but one I wanted to get off my chest anyway.

Cech was signed under the last few months of Ranieri and arrived the Summer Mourinho did.

Robben Essien and Kezman were signed the season before to arrive in Summer.

Unbelievable recruitment by them that summer with Abramovich's first transfer window.
