Remember those loveable reds delighting in telling us that it didn't matter how contentious the penalty incidents against Leicester and City were, it all gets forgotten and it's still down as a win?

Well, that's exactly the same as the Villa 5-0. Asterisk or no bleeding asterisk. How do you like them apples you utter trumpets?

Any sign of the lovely Emilia Bona recently? Hopefully the Anfield Wrap's finest is getting bummed by a camel out in whatever godforsaken kleprocracy the RS are currently playing in.

Is she the one who was reporting on the drunken kopites getting dealt with by the police in Europe (can't remember which country) as if she was reporting from the front line of a war zone?

That is a whole other level of delusion.

Funny thing is, if they had left half a squad home for the game and half travelled, they could have been in both comps still and players would have had a little rest over here.
