ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Most of what you've posted there is spot on..........but, if we were involved in a game as big as that and one of our ex players was playing, the booing would be on a par with what we witnessed on Sunday. Remember singing for Barmby to die? And to suggest a lot of booing was racist anger? WOW.
The support of Suarez and that though, that was pretty low in that respect mate, if you want to go down the racist fans route.

He called out an article in the Daily Mail about another black player who had bought his mum a house and com

He directly called out the newspapers and in particular the Daily Fail. His example he used was so blatant they did a quick about turn and the rest of the media followed sharpish due to the fear of being branded racist. The hate was started and perpetuated directly from Anfield - without a doubt. Sterling had all but said this.

Ok, thanks mate.

Yeah, the PR stuff at the time of him leaving was certainly Anfield instigated, but I really don’t see it as a race thing. They hate Owen for the way he left and then moved to United, but nobody says anything about that.

I’m just not comfortable about banding the racism accusation round when it’s not warranted. And that’s any situation. It weakens and cheapens the whole putting a stop to racism agenda.

That lot used to accuse us of being racist in the 90s. Them and us have pockets of [Poor language removed] from the 80s and 90s era, but on the whole it isn’t a racist city. It’s like that [Poor language removed] they come out with about “Everton wives”. All just unsubstantiated nonsense and more a derogatory jibe at our own people. While we disagree on football, we are one and the same generally at the end of the day.

Maybe it was when the whole Kop sang the Suarez song at a black lower league player that tars them with the racist scum brush.

I’m not familiar with that, but again, I'm pretty sure the vast majority of Liverpudlians there were chanting the Suarez song as some gesture of support for him rather than to racially abuse a black player. Suarez was a snidey [Poor language removed] and will have created many situations where his name will have been chanted in support. Trying to shoe horn racism into it is strange.

As another example, the RS tried to make out it was racist when our lad confronted nyarko against arsenal. It wasn’t, but it’s this point scoring at any cost that depresses me, using serious issues to make false claims. It’s tabloid tactics and it can [Poor language removed] off. As can any blue or red who do it.

When the day comes we murder a bunch of people you can start talking about Heysel again. It's OK we did it because you did too.

Not familiar with the incident but you know exactly what happened. OK.

And the Nazis had a wonderful equal opportunities policy as well.

Do one you phoney.

Whilst the booing of Gomez was harsh imo, the angry fume from the RS across social media over it in the last couple of hours has simply been delicious...and hilarious!
