ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

What damning indictment? I think English football is a bubble that's bound to burst. Is it really fun to be dependent on investors that in the best case don't really give a damn about anything than their own bank accounts and in the worst case are human rights abusing villain states? Is it something to be proud of to be one of the 'assets' of a multi-club owner? Is it cool to have stadia full of tourists and no atmosphere whatsoever in many grounds, especially at the 'top' clubs? What fraction of the money Liverpool spent in the last transfer window have Frankfurt spent in the last 5 years? I'd rather have Bundesliga teams not perform too well in at this point pretty farcical European competitions and still have some connection to fans, no disgusting investors completely taking over clubs (yes, there is an obvious exception that everyone else absolutely abhors) and proper atmosphere in the stadium.

The PL is blown up garbage.
It is too late. British league in name only. International TV show but Everton are in it so we keep watching

I can't help but feel since that it's a real negative feel on the city.

Every shot is showing disused warehousing, terraced housing (with anfield in the background) and cafes that haven't passed a hygiene rating.

It's as though it's feeding into the stereotype that Liverpool is still stuck in the 80's.

Even the zoom out from the liver building at the end ignores the modern architecture such as the Museum of Liverpool and other buildings in that vicinity.

All is not well…😂

“Zero accountability from the fraud manager and fraud captain. Pulling the fans under the bus as if it's their responsibility to turn it around.”

I particularly liked the reply that said 'This from the guy who sliced the ball into his 21 year old team mate's face and then blamed him for having a head'

How cringe with the exaggerated Scouse accent. Grew up in Everton and I don't sound half as strong as that.
Embarrassing.

Broadly I agree the money is disgusting, however:

That does not look like a healthy league to me.
As much as I despise the Bavarian pricks, they have built this organically and were a whole lot smarter a whole lot earlier than other clubs.

This is also exacerbated by the Premier League's insanity which is clearly an advantage to Bayern nationally since they are the only ones being able to offer competitive wages.

I'm pretty sure that this will not last forever. As I'm pretty sure that English football is eating itself.

I used to be angry at the preferential treatment the scab 6 get. But yesterday I could only laugh watching the RS playing 11 minutes of 7 in extra time, Saint Virge's attempted murder via flying elbow not even being checked etc. because I realise that the PL is not far removed from the Truman show or WWE.

I'd rather have the same champion every year (because they just are the best team, at least they aren't actvely helped by refs) with everything else being highly competitive than watch the farcical marketing gag the PL's become.
