He’ll have to accept that when he takes the big money on a weekly basis it’s because it’s coming from club with a global fanbase and the only reason anyone from abroad supports any certain club is because they win, so when they don’t win, them same fans will lose interest/turn on the players. He can’t have it both ways.

What damning indictment? I think English football is a bubble that's bound to burst. Is it really fun to be dependent on investors that in the best case don't really give a damn about anything than their own bank accounts and in the worst case are human rights abusing villain states? Is it something to be proud of to be one of the 'assets' of a multi-club owner? Is it cool to have stadia full of tourists and no atmosphere whatsoever in many grounds, especially at the 'top' clubs? What fraction of the money Liverpool spent in the last transfer window have Frankfurt spent in the last 5 years? I'd rather have Bundesliga teams not perform too well in at this point pretty farcical European competitions and still have some connection to fans, no disgusting investors completely taking over clubs (yes, there is an obvious exception that everyone else absolutely abhors) and proper atmosphere in the stadium.
