I’m always brought back to Gerrard as a guest on Sky when he was injured many years ago. It was half-time and they were talking about an Arshavin goal;

Sky MC; “And then Arshavin scores in front of the Kop”
Gerrard; “…it was offside”
Sky MC; “No Stevie, we’ve drawn the lines and look, he’s onside”.
Gerrard; “I don’t care, he’s offside at Anfield”.

That exchange has always stuck with me, surprised nothing more was made of it.
