ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I’ve managed to avoid everything RS so far today which is a decent effort in this day and age of mass media etc. Work from home tomorrow so with a bit of luck when I arrive in town Tuesday the RS hordes will have thinned down a bit
I'll get it tomorrow I gave it loads when we beat them 2-0 and they lost the league at Goodison park, so I expect to get it back tomorrow.

Sky and the rest of the media only invoke the past when doing so is to the advantage of one of the "big six".

They say that Erling Haaland has the record for the most league goals in a season and how Salah is closing in on the record for most goals + assists in a single season, conveniently ignoring pre-1992 football. However, Liverpool's 18 league titles pre-1992 are suddenly taken into account when it comes to comparing them to everyone else.

When Man City finally equalled our number of league titles, nothing was said.

Hasn’t been to bad near me thankfully.

Had to shoot to my mums earlier, only a 10 minute walk.

One fella came out of a restaurant with his family and let of a red flair. Had his son recording him, mum and daughter looked embarrassed as he started singing “campione” on his own.

About 2 minutes down the read a lad and gil pushing a pram and he just started singing “top of the league” I don’t live anywhere near anfield. Pair of melts.

It's partly because this was just such an anticlimactic nothing of a season. Hard to care at all really.

Them winning a league with, say, the last kick or something would feel a lot worse.
Everyone will have moved on by Tuesday when Arsenal take on PSG. Then there's Spurs, Man United & Chelsea in Europe as well whilst the battle for 3rd-5th is apparently massively important to Sky this year.

The COVID title there was 2 months between them officially winning it and those CL matches being held in the space of a week to decide the winner, so it lingered on more.
