ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Yep - that was the one. United were in serious trouble but Klopp bottled it.
That game was more than winnable. They sat off and went for the draw.
Same when they came to the Etihad. Klopp set up for the draw and they
only came out after we went 2-1 up. These are the big games that champions win
simply because they have to. Losing the league last season hurt them more than
they will ever admit. It will have damaged them. Their pain is our energy...

Ironic really. He set up exactly like Brendan should have set up against Chelsea. If they'd have got them the right way round they could have won two titles, the slab waving, racists,

It's unbelievable! I can't be bothered to look at my own team's fixtures in that level of detail, let alone my rivals & THEIR rivals fixtures to boot!!
It's obsessive madness at it's finest.

Well, the bloke has saved you a job. You should be thanking him.

Because everyone knows that away games after a European match are the most likely opportunities for teams to drop points. So Liverpool our rivals have for two seasons in a row had less of these problem fixtures than their rivals for a trophy none if want them to win. What’s there to question about that?
Just the lengths you go to to find something to be annoyed about.

It reminds me of the Ricky Gervais skit about a guy looking in a shop window at the advertising cards there; one is for guitar lessons and he gets angry because he doesn't want guitar lessons. He rings the number on the card and says, "Are you giving guitar lessons?" "Yes" is the reply. "Well I don't f###ing WANT ANY!!!" Then angrily hangs up.

Meltdown incoming

do you not think that having 11 home games out of 12 after champions league group ties over the course of 2 seasons seems a little odd for a 'random' fixture list. No idea what its got to do with guitar lessons tbh

A rs on talksport last night going on about the fixtures being fixed, the last 3 games he said are fixed in case they are ahead of City, because no one what's them to win the league. He went on to say his nan was laughing at him because City won the league. It's a good listen.

lol it's obviously got nothing to do with guitar lessons; the point is the guy was just looking for something to be be angry about, hence the analogy. ;)

Just listen to this on talkSPITE. This is how much it has damaged them. Loving it!

Its a classic listen (or it's one of your blue boys taking the Mickey!)
Amazing call that, thing is that caller has been on the show a few times and im not sure it is a blue, they do come out with nonsense like that themselves without blinking!!

How utterly convinient is that season opener of theirs though? Absolute home banker to kick off the Premier League season with a casual 4 or 5 niller being broadcast to the world... :coffee:

In recent past, Liverpool almost always sign players quickly and have had a clear transfer strategy. However, no activity so far this window and no strong rumours either. It will be stupid of them to rely on same average players for another successful season. May be they are also afraid of major outgoings. Unfortunately Madrid already bought players they wanted. It will be interesting to see how they do this next couple months in transfer window.

A journo recently suggested (forget which one now, think it might have been Hunter) that Klopp & Co are more bothered about securing their current crop long term than going out and buying. Could be something in it.

Interesting phrase.
