Outside of a few Everton fans, no one else think we cost them the title.

Nor would I expect them too, doesn't bother me though. We did.

You just knew Liverpool would get a nice easy home banker to start them off and Sky would have their flagship team, for their first televised game.

If I supported a newly promoted team, I’d be loving that as a starter. However average Norwich looked whenever I saw them last season, they will still be a bit of an known quantity. I’m glad we’re not playing them.

But thats part of what being a football fan is all about. Its like when @Yid4life makes points about Spurs that mean sommet to him and Spurs fans, but are of little relevance or interest to us lot.

It sustains us. Which is a bit sad, but also quite reassuring.

I can honestly assure you that you have the eternal thanks of all Man City fans for taking those two points off them.
However, what is much better for all of us, is knowing that their fans know that the two points you took off them actually cost
them the title - and they did.

Have to say, using a picture of Liverpool holding the European cup to announce the premier league fixtures is really weird.

Would it not make sense to have the current premier league holders holding the trophy?

It's like if united won the league cup they'd use a picture of them holding it to announce the FA cup draw...

But we did, had they won at GP they would of won the title simple as. Considering we'd been so poor after the derby defeat in December, our result against them was fantastic. Also our fans helped them lose the title, the atmosphere that day was one of the best I've experienced.

We cost them the title, of course we can laugh at them, they're an embarrassment to football, changing a 5 to a 6 doesn't change that, but the league is what they desperately wanted. I don't really give a flying one they won the battle of the bottlers, we stopped them the winning the one thing I haven't seen them win.

I just hate the BBC, woeful boring journos and they give the RS platform to act like animals with their gushing praise over anything to do with them.

Thats the logical position to take, which will mean it will be the position they don't take. Any discussion of where they bottled it is going to severely annoy their narcissism. The talk of us costing them the league doubly so. I am all for it. keep repeating it and watch the anger levels sore.
