They've installed fabino in there now to a) stop opponents with continuous tactical fouling and b) add an extra layer of defence at the back to prevent the potential for van dyke to be made a mug of.

The other midfield players consists of 2 of a number of water carriers.

This type of midfield set up lacks thrust and trickery and can soon grow stale.
He's got the trophy. Chuck the keys over the fence once his trick is worked out and scarper to the next club in a new country to show his pashun.

Classic switcheroo for a manager to keep repeating to stay in business.

Exactly this!
This is why van Dyke gets away with murder. He is protected by 3 defensive mid fielders in virtually every game. It's Henderson along with 2 others from Milner, Fabinho or Winjanldum every single time. This gives him the time on the ball he needs to strut around, pointing and gesticulating and looking great. This in turn means they have zero creativity in midfield. Hence the long ball over the top tactics Leicester style. They have no other options. When Klopp started with or brought on Shakiri van Dyke started to get exposed big time which is why he stopped it smartish and Shakiri rarely got any game time at all after Christmas. Klopp also intentionality binned off the two domestic cups early doors so he only had the league and the CL league to worry about. Any other top manager would have been accused of 'disrespecting the cups' and got hung, drawn & quartered by the media. Not our Jurgen - he got a completely free pass on it. If van Dyke gets injured, banned or has a downturn in form (eventually one of them will happen) they have a major problem.

They were right out of ideas in the Anfield derby.
Salah and Firminho subbed.

Sake.

Still shaking my head at the end of that game.

Putting 6 stars on twitter profiles is the ultimate in cringe. I like the arctic monkeys should I put 5 gold discs on my profile as I had as much to do with their albums as these wasters do their titles. The height of trying to be credited with others achievements.

I dont think thats a bad idea. Someone must tell Real Madrid to add 13 stars.

That hurt my eyes trying to read it. Will you please use punctuation and paragraphs. Lovely to have other clubs' fans on here. Just try to make your posts easier to read.

This is the School of Science!!

The drugs are great these days. Their football has been crap since about February culminating in the CL final where the barely put a midfield pass together. Don’t let that get in the way of media eulogies about flowing football. They punt it front to back and play for set pieces more than anyone in the league.
They finished second in the league, a point off winning it and won the champions league, and I’m on drugs?

I am not impressed with their game but it does get results. So how tactically do you set up against them to nullify them? I used to say if teams could keep them at 0-0 for 20 minutes they would tire themselves out. But they don't. They can kick and run and do this press stuff for 90 plus minutes.
Playing off side is dangerous and they love that as it ups their chances of a break.
Staying back leaves them the space to get free kicks in a dangerous area.
Once the system to play and punish them becomes proved they will not have a plan B.
Van Dyke won the cup almost single handed and does his job very well. Nothing fancy he just wins the ball 99% of the time, and leaves what happens after that to others. Take him out and they would ship goals.
