ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

When is it ok to punch out your neighbour for still having flags in the house?
On the way home tonight there was a fella riding a pushbike with 2 tank aerials on the back, both with big feck off flags hanging from them, If he was on my side of the road I'm afraid I would have taken him out.

But not surprising given that it was for the RS.
Man U got a similar ridiculous pen against PSG. I’ve never seen these type of decisions being given before (not including genuine referee errors). Had that pen been given against Sissoko without VAR you could say fair enough, ref didn’t see it hit his chest first, but this wasn’t the case with the video review being used.

Agree though there definitely is an elite band of clubs who seem to be getting favourable calls, Man U and the RS being the two from England. Man City got robbed of a goal in the previous years CL when they scored a legitimate goal against the RS (was given offside when it clearly came off Milner I think it was). That happens at Anfield for the RS it’s a goal all day long.

For the biggest club competition in the world the officiating is terrible. Top clubs have always had favourable calls as refs are swayed by the big names, but with video assistance there is no excuse now, yet they still got it wrong imo.

No big screen for big stand fc

Wow. It just so happens that out of 20 clubs in the league the two clubs that get the most favourable calls have no big screen. Nothing fishy going on here of course.

It’s almost blatant now. They should just give Man U and the RS a goal head start and be done with it.

If they can't comply now then it should be made a requirement for participation in the premier league. I'd make it compulsory for UEFA club games too.

Those 2 clubs make more cash than all the other clubs in England. They know what they're doing.

Great post mate.

If that happens and City go clear ahead in the league after xmas, then Klopp will put his eggs in the CL basket.

Top 4 finish will be to easy for them, so i could see Klopp rotating in the league and being fresh for the CL games, i wouldn't be surprised to see them back in another final, begrudingly have to say they are a excellent 2 leg cup team and teams capitulate when they go to their ground which gives them an advantage in the ties.

Wait, its actually real? I saw the headline a couple of days ago and didn't read it because I thought it was obviously someone making a crap joke. You can't have the two teams who get the most dodgy decisions a pass, tell them to get a screen in! Why is everyone in football so scared to tell teams what to do, there's no control.

Vandalising houses opposite goodison now.

Of course this is just our own fans doing this to make them look bad / because of the klopp (new balance advert) photoshop etc

I mean, these people obviously have no life nor job. What are the police doing about this? I haven't read any statements about any searches for vandals, can't be hard to actually go into the nearest shop and see who's bought the last can of spray paint. These are really thick individuals, they're not going to think about going out of town.

They just don't get that none of us really care about number 6. We all would have been gutted if they won the league, but winning the battle of the bottlers is hardly something to concern us. I just hate people who think they're hard, but do things in the dark where nobody can see them. You locals have seen your city being impressively rebuilt and yet you have idiots like this trying to wreck it all. Wtf is wrong with these neanderthals.

We all know the ref will have a screen to review the decision - but not showing 60-70,000 fans in the stadium the review on a big screen will have an impact on the referee's decision in my opinion

Even us wools can manage a big screen in our Rugby League stadiums for the video ref decisions. Laughable that two of the world's biggest clubs in an obscenely wealthy league are finding a reason not to do it while RL clubs can.

And especially more laughable as apparently a big screen was put up at Anfield for the Rugby League games they hosted in May.
