ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

You’d have a point if I’d have been posting on GOT for years, but I haven’t. Think I signed up 3 or 4 months back.

Most new posters sign up, and most leg it straight to Transfer threads, Stadium threads, Match threads, y'know, Everton stuff. As they get more relaxed then they start to branch out across the forum. Some even end up in the Wrestling thread, and we never see them anywhere else.

Like a moth to a flame, you have set up base camp in the Laugh at Liverpool thread; Then done little but whinge that we should all act like you do.

Sound. I see no point in further discussing the subject with you because you have your view and I have my view. We’re not going to agree with one another, we’re just going to go round and round in circles.

One thing though, what, in your view, would amount to justice for the 39 people who lost their lives?. Genuine question, like.

Genuine answer like-

For the dead and injured -

Reparations to the the victims families equivalent to what would be awarded in the uk and not Italy. By victims I mean the families of the dead together with the 200+ injured. Paid for by the rs and no other party. And at today's value and not the value at the time of the deaths.

A complete and full statement by the rs board of its acceptance of the clubs fans being responsible for the deaths and injuries.
A complete and full statement by the rs board as to why they have never accepted responsibility for their part and the part played by their fans on the night and the aftermath.
A complete and full statement by the rs board as to why it doesn't honour the Italian dead the same way it honours the hillsborough dead.

For the English teams affected -

For each time the rs qualify for the cl or Europa they must hand their place to a team affected by the ban. This includes both league and cup victims. Any team that doesn't want the spot to receive the equivalent prize money, at today's value, as though they had entered the competition from the rs and no other party. The place in the competition will then be offered to the next club 'in waiting'.

When all clubs have been 'compensated' in whatever form they choose the rs are then to serve out the second year of their original ban. Their place in Europe, if they qualify, to go to the league.

Rs to fund in full an enquiry into the events on the night and the decisions that were made regarding venue choice, policing and those officials responsible for organising the match. As near to the exacting Hillsborough enquiry as possible.

If anything like the above had been done when the events originally occurred then our 'friendly rivalry' may have still been the same......but they weren't and it isn't.

Besides reparations which should be first and foremost, an alternative option to the team 'compensation' would be for the rs to be consigned to league 2 for a period of no less than ten years - voluntarily.

It's all pie in the sky anyhow as they will never be held to account. It's one big carpet with a very big lump.

So back at ya, what's your view on heysel and what is your idea of justice for the victims?

I work with a bloke who is very intelligent. He knows all about Hillsborough but when he asked why there is such bad feeling towards the RS from us and I explained about Heysel he was gobsmacked. Totally unaware that the event had ever taken place.

That's typical of most rs these days.

Must.Not.Type.Nonc.......

I’m pretty sure other posters can’t be enjoying these exchanges, as basically they amount to grown men bickering on the internet.

You should read TFC (Spurs) forum. Makes this place look positively genteel.

I saw it once described as an 'unmoderated cluster***' and 'like drunk men shouting at each other in the pub'.

It's certainly not one for the faint hearted.

You are the expert in these matters Jake.

The fact nearly all regular posters have commented at least once in the Jagielka thread or Baines thread at some point, yet @scotchbutterpin or @Zartan have never said anything, yet seem to be prolific in any negative thread or thread related to Liverpool, this is a bit odd right ?
It is very peculiar indeed.

I'm sure if I look I will find some other patterns.
