I am not sure how you can link Sterling and Salah, mention racism and then not acknowledge that people of the Islamic faith also suffer from racism.

I was making the link in the sense that the casual racism that Sterling highlighted as an endemic and unnoticed practice, is the same reason Salah does not called out in the way other players do. Its an endemic bias with sections of the UK sports media. And unnoticed. As you keep proving. That clip in the Chelsea match proved he tripped over fresh air.

If a player receives the ball under pressure with no support they wait for contact and go down. If a player gets beaten for pace they instinctively pull back their opponent. Players leave a foot in and try and rough up opponents. Everyone does it.

I think you are missing the point by a country mile. No one is saying footballers dont cheat.

We are saying that some get called out on it, and bizarrely, one in particular doesnt.

That’s like comparing going in hard to going in over the top. Some things are part of the game and players accept it. Other things aren’t acceptable which is why opposition players get so enraged by diving.

The thing is the stats simply don't back that up. In the premier League this season the most fouled player has been Glen Murray who has won 70 free kicks or penalties. Salah is in 89th place and has won 25 free kicks or penalties in 35 games.
