ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

100 quid on the RS tonight if City win an the RS price goes up.

Will ease the pain ever so slightly when City cock up against Burnley and it costs them the league.

If we'd have got 97 points this season and just missed out, we'd all be saying it was fantastic and great springboard to win the title next year.
I want to see them finish as far behind Man City as possible, lose their best players and blow the proceeds on crap like Benitez and Souness used to specialise in.

One freak incident (Pickford) and a lot of "considerations" paid to officials it seems to me.
3 united players getting injured in one half, a cardiff player missing a header from 2 yards out. The spurs og all very freakish pieces of luck to me. Theyve had all these in a matter of months.

See all of these are just that - luck. The Mahrez penalty miss, Pickford, the Spurs own goal I don't mind as it's just luck. It's the blatant dives that win penalties, the offside goals given for them, the dubious decisions given against anyone they play against, they are the ones i'm more concerned about.

Now you mention it.

There are some things money can't buy - but you need to have sold your soul to the devil for.

it will be really intriguing to see how lfc media seniors will react to klopp if they finish 2nd and lose ucl final to spurs-pochettino who spent lesser than liverpool. normally in this possible scenario it will end excuses for klopp and he must be criticized for his underachievements.

It will be the best outcome. If you finish second on 97 points (losing only 1 game at that!) and lose out in a one off match against what is a very good team in Spurs who are perfectly set up to win a CL style competition, then I think you get a pass. He'll get another season, and probably face strong selling pressure as the big boys in Spain will fancy a bit of Salah, Mane, Firminho and Plug Van Dijk. He could be entering the next season with a knackered team (a la his final Dortmund season) and his big players depleted - a busted flush. That's my hope.

It could quite easily go the other way and be the start of a dynasty though... let's hope City and Barca sort things out for us before we even get to the CL final.

The ref was gonna give a foul on Allison if Cardiff had scored that header as well. That's what Winaldum said after the match. Watch the replay and he doesn't get touched. Good job it didn't go in because there would have been mayhem if it had been disallowed

I don't believe he (the ref) said anything.

It is killing them, I lap it up when they bemoan the fact that city are just too good and any other season, 97 point would be enough to win the league.

It just makes the whole thing sweeter

Still a lot for City to do. A win tonight would definitely demoralise Liverpool though and change their approach to the CL semi final. If City beat United they may throw in the towel and rest players for the Newcastle game between the Barca ones. If City drop points I fancy Klopp to chuck the CL knowing that if he beats Newcastle he’s practically home and dry.

They don't need to rest players, they play on Friday AGAIN, so should be fit.I imagine they will go full throttle for both trophies and get neither.

I mean it will be absolutely hilarious if they don’t win either. The league especially has been rigged so much in their advantage it will be an absolute miracle if they lost it. City seemed to have had a game in hand for about half the season so Liverpool have ‘roared back to the top’ every single weekend and never had to experience going 4 points behind and needing to win just to keep pace. They’ve barely been behind for a matter of hours before they spend another week top of the league and all the media adulation that comes with that. That’s before you even get into the blatant refereeing corruption that occurs most games in their favour.
