I have been wondering about that myself.

City go to United.....the RS host Chelsea.

They both have Spurs at home.

Outside of that they each have six games against mid tabl dross or relegation fodder.

I don’t know why this “RS have easier run in” belief came about.

Pretty much the same, I would have thought.

Their fixtures aren't easier but it's a coping method used by their supporters to convince themselves it will be ok.

You've had the anger, the threats, the intimidation, the hooliganism in the stadium, the turning on one another and offering each other out (and yes I include many of their famous podcasters who have been engaged in this, as well as their fans calling them false for being too positive) an enormous meltdown already. It's starting to calm a bit and the only way they can make sense of losing a 10 point lead but Klopp still having a masterplan is that City have harder fixtures.

So it’s bad news for us because it’d stop things like Ferguson’s last goal in 2006, and definitely wouldn’t stop things like Pogba’s saved penalty landing straight back on his foot to turn the game at Old Trafford this season.

It's an insane story. Title starts with "HUGE IMPACT ON EVERTON" but mentions something that was 13 years ago and inconsequential as we finished 11th and we also had a season a few years ago where we had one or zero penalties all season. If this was a handed in to a teacher as something that needed to be about a certain subject you'd get failed for just waffling near the subject.

well that's stupid. I also don't think they should count in a shootout tbh, in a game it's an own goal, so how can it count as a successful pen in a shootout? Same here really, the ball has rebounded off the post, so it's missed, second phase if it's coming off the keeper and in.

They hated this club taking two points off Liverpool and have been in full denigration mode sinxce the derby final whistle.

I mean, again, it's why i don't really bother with the sport. Cheating is rife, poor sportsmanship is at such a degrading level, time wasting is horrific, officiating standards are getting worse and worse and the use of technology is coming along at a snail's pace ... but let's change what happens if a penalty hits the post, so we can be seen to be actually doing some work.
