ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

...there are often definitive games in a season and definitive games in a club’s history. Us going to Spurs and winning in ‘85, Arsenal going to OT and beating Man Utd on the way to a title. I think the Reds will go to City and win because it’s more important to them. Sadly, I think it’ll be a definitive game.

Fair enough if they do, as long as it isn't via an offside goal or via some method of cheating. They are currently a more complete team than City, and if they go to the Etihad and outclass them, that will show definitively that they deserve to win the league.

Can sadly only agree with that.

The title celebrations will start tonight, possibly around the 70th minute mark when they're two up and know there is no way City can decrease their points advantage. To be honest I can see Klopp waltzing onto the pitch to celebrate, the players holding hands in front of their fans on the final whistle and fans with tears in their eyes unable to believe their luck.

I wish it was us.

I prefer my narrative.

City outplay Liverpool, then win every other game and win the league as Liverpool implode. That momentum carries them to a PL/CL double. The End.

I'd rather win it like Leicester rather than spouting some baloney about not wanting to buy the league before signing the most expensive defender and goalkeeper in the history of football, but yes I wish it was too.

Not bothered about City winning the CL, or the PL tbh, I'd rather Spurs won it.

True but you'd take any way of winning it surely. They've still spent considerably less than United or City over the past decade and to be in the position they are now, looking so dominant, is outstanding work. Unfortunately. God I hate that they're so good and we're so whack.

They had a plan and they've stuck to it. They've still broken 2 World transfer records in 6 months though, the kind of thing usually done by Barcelona or Real Madrid. I'm not saying it wasn't the right thing to do, but it does make Klopp either a liar or a hypocrite.

Think city have got this tonight, if there was a one or two point gap they would be cautious but now they have to win, they can just attack and play for the win.

Pound for pound there the better team overall and have the better manager and are at home.

City to win 3-0.

....and I guarantee I won’t be watching at that stage. To be fair, they have been relentless this season. I just dread the obvious outcome to this season.
