ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Criminal how City haven't won 4-5 titles in a row with that spending or not even won a CL, with the outlay Guardiola has spent the last 3 seasons they should be walking the league this season like they did last season, but they are so reliant on a 34 year old Fernandinho, 33 year old silva and 31 year old Aguero.

Can you do one of those since the inception of the Premier League?

Can only see a victory for them tonight I'm afraid. They haven't conceded more that one goal in any league game this season. Even with City's attacking potential I can't suddenly see them shipping more than one. And as City get desperate they will just pick them off on the break :(

Almost as bad as the fact Liverpool have failed to win a premier league title despite outlaying over a billion pound on players

Many reds pretending to blues do tend to get an almighty tit on when they get easily rumbled as well.

You're too obvious sweetheart. You only pipe up when Everton are struggling and der redmen are doing well.

Do yourself a favour and fook raar back off to RAWK
That would make him one of the most regular posters on the forum mate :(

Fernandino and KDB back and Aguero up to full speed is massive.

Personally I can only see an easy win for city.

The champions league games give a false idea of their respective abilities. The game at the Etihad saw city have 70% possession and 20 shots to Liverpool's 5. Aguero didn't start and kompany was injured. Then they needed an outrageous piece of officiating to stay in the game, which meant city had to chase the game (They wouldn't even have had to do that if the RS didn't have the extra man at the pit as well) which meant the RS got two flattering goals at the end.

City to win 3 or 4 nil. Under the lights and a full house will see a good atmosphere (for a change) and the mutants will wilt.

It should be close as Liverpool's wage bill is higher and their squad cost a similar amount but I think a keyed up City will show their class.

4th highest spenders Liverpool there - 400m on top of an already costly squad, however their sales department are top drawer. They get crazy money for some average players and insane money for any quality. Certainly helps matters.

Mind you we have just been awful, when you think that includes the Lukaku money :(

Just had my weekly lunch trip for pizza with my United supporting mate. He started laughing when I asked him who he's supporting tonight. Everyone hates the rs.

It’s true everyone does and if that was us I seriously couldn’t care but winning isn’t enough they’re screaming “love me , please love me “.

Surely an over-reaction...albeit a conceited one. That cordiality you refer to dissipated in the 80s when Everton had the temerity to play breathtaking football and win trophies left right and centre....and the neighbours started to get somewhat restless and rattle their bin lids over it - our cheek in upstaging them. That's a well known matter of fact and, from our point of contention, especially when coupled with the European ban on British teams 'for you know what' which hurt us more than any club. Its an exaggeration to suggest most of today's Everton fans have a hatred of the RS - its on a par with the myth that everyone in general is a fan of Liverpool...we dont….and they aren't either. Personally, I don't care about them (...and Ive cleaned that up). If you're as regular a visitor to the forum as you suggest, you'll have noticed the dull regularity with which some Kopites think theyre smart coming on here. They act the Blue... with their googled stats and faux recollections of games they never went to and their posts pebbledashed with critical asides. More to the point is that at the same time, they're so thick to think that we don't see through them pronto and that they are merely being humoured and toyed with on here. In conclusion, you cant really blame some bona fide Blues smelling a rat sometimes.

I agree wholeheartedly with both of your points.

Who knows what might have been had the European ban not come in. We were playing amazing football back then and would have challenged any team.

The 2nd point is particularly sad and not even remotely amusing. Why not just say you're a fan of another club? Why hide it? Surely footy is more fun when rival fans bounce off each other? Well that's how I at least see it and how I was brought up. It is tedious and childish and I can't see the point in it.

EDIT: good post, BTW. Nice to converse mannerly.
