Did you count that on the fingers of one hand ?That's around the 6th time that's been wrongly predicted the past few months lol
We can’t pick on midgetscan't believe there are no posts about shaqiri saying he doesn't go into Liverpool because he might get webbed by Everton fans... GOT you let me down.
I know this is meant to be a piss take thread and I've avoided it since joining the forum since I think we as a fanbase (in parts) are to obsessed with them and it hurts us but....
One of things that I think has contributed to ruining the relationship between Liverpool and Everton fans is that both teams have had a period of domination in the derby games. In the 90's it was us and the Dogs of War. They didn't like it and it fuelled a certain atmosphere. That's been turned on it's head in the 00's and 10's. We've had very limited success against them and we have fans who've hardly ever seen us beat them. They've beaten us with 10 men and battered us a few times. They've also won the odd trophy whilst we haven't. That switching of extreme fortunes in derby games has had an effect on atmosphere and relationship. They were desperate to beat us in the 90's and we could lord it over them. They have the upper hand now and have thrown in the 1995 stuff for good measure. It's understandable how this fuels feelings on both sides. It's not the only reason but I think it plays a part.
Again I know this is a piss take thread but I feel uncomfortable reading this thread and someone opposing being called 'bitter' when we have other poster calling them 'wall pushing beauts' about 10 posts up. That doesn't sit right with me. Both things aren't right but we can't take the moral high ground when people are throwing stuff like that around.
I'll probably give this thread a miss from now on and enjoy the rest of the forum discussing how Everton can progress over the next few months and years. That seem much more fun and worthwhile than obsessing about the RS and how we match up to them. To me that doesn't help us at all. As hard as it living in the City and coming across their smug faces every day, we'd be much better placed as a fanbase if we collectively ignored them and focussed on our own team. We can't match up to them currently in terms of finances, performance or even in a one off game generally. So why compare ourselves and beat ourselves up about it? Let it go. It's an exciting time to be a Blue. Enjoy the ride and forget about what's happening across Stanley Park.
I'm off to enjoy the rest of the forum now.
You mean like us lolWolves say hello. We need gash midtable clubs to start taking points of the kopites rather than rolling over for them.
They call us bitter because we are not prepared to take their shame to have their glory. All they talk about is trophies won (a long time ago), we see what they really are and want no part of it.Appreciate that they have won a lot of trophies (over the years) so there's not much doubt about that - we certainly can debate their present capacity for adding to that list (even if it is better than our prospects). But I'm thinking of writing a small article on "why they call us Bitter" - one angle of course is the Heysel element but I'm interested in whether you agree that those fans who do stick the "Bitter knife" in are inadequate for that reason. Surely it's enough to be able to lord it over is - trophies, years since we beat them, our trophy drought, years since we won at the Pit and all that. Isn't that good enough? What kind of mentality switches from all those reasons to "win the day" that it is still necessary to make it personal? Your thoughts, please and also on what kind of appropriate response (that isn't lowering the tone to that level) might be a suitable put down.
Lol so not the 40 line monologues, then, me commenting about the 40 line monologues is a meltdown?!You do realise putting posts like this just looks like you are having/had said meltdown.
Its more the frantic writing style of the replies I'm getting at. I'm not arsed about you having a meltdown or not mate. I only come here to laugh at kopites.Lol so not the 40 line monologues, then, me commenting about the 40 line monologues is a meltdown?!

Like Klopp in finals then. That's around the 6th time that's been wrongly predicted the past few months lol
I am wrong. Everyone here correctly predicted that 6th final loss.Like Klopp in finals then.

Buffon has just said it is in the 3 best he has ever played in, so maybe take that one out.
You mean like the repetition of my alleged (hoped for!) meltdown...Perhaps "40 line monologues....40 line monologues" is the new "5 times, lad.....5 times lad". Repetition is a longstanding trait Im afraid....rather like parrots and their restricted yet amusing expressions ….but obviously less intelligent and articulate of course.
