I've never smoked a cig in my life and have desire to, but there's denying that the action of holding and smoking a cig can look pretty cool.

Conversely, the sight of someone walking down the street, cheeks puckered as they suck hard what looks like a cross between a fountain pen and a mini clarinet, is the most uncool thing ever.

If we all learned from and avoided the mistakes of our parents then theoretically humanity would eventually reach a point where it was flawless.

Clearly most people didn't get the memo then.

Also, the sight of someone puffing on a cigarette the second they leave a building or bus, only to descend into a coughing fit, hacking enough to bring up a lung...

You just want to take the thing off them and say, "It's this! This is why you can't stop coughing! For pity's sake!!"

Just seems like a nonsense.
