I know. Also not Notts Forest. Not sure why people keep saying this tbh. Dyche has NEVER signed McNeil.

From 5 to 14 at ManU, then they released him and he was offered a scholarship at BurnleyI'd always thought he went all the way through the academy at United before being sold to Burnley.
Coventry it is, then.
I don't get the anti McNeil vibes.
The guy isn't the kind of MARAUDING Walker/Reece James/ TTA machine right back who's a threat going forward. Or our own Leighton Baines / Seamus of times yore.
Understood.
But he has been good when given a run). He's skillful, offers decent balls in ( which would help B&B) and offers something different.
He does need a run to build physicality, but I feel if he's offloaded he'll drift and end up a championship player. Which is a shame
He’s had a few chances under Moyes and has looked completely disinterested. He takes a decent set piece and has a good shot on him, but he’s put in so little effort that we just can’t have him on the pitch anymore.
….not sure about ‘disinterested’, I note some posters suggesting ‘he trying too hard’, regardless of which end of that spectrum you’re at, he’s been very disappointing. Contract up in ‘27, so I doubt he’s already looking to run it down.
Moyes will have a dilemma if his two main options to cover Ndiaye are misfiring.
Don't get the anti McNeill vibes but will end up a championship player if he leaves us?I don't get the anti McNeil vibes.

Yeah he’s not been ‘trying too hard’.
Ignoring the entire first paragraph (as he isn’t a full back and that’s all you seem to compare him to).I don't get the anti McNeil vibes.

Haha I get your point. What I'm saying is he could go that way.Don't get the anti McNeill vibes but will end up a championship player if he leaves us?
Say no more lad. Don't need to hate him, but I think it's fine to say that he's not good enough for us.
Also: he's not skilful
I've not seen those games ( I've missed a few this season), but was pleased he got a run last season. He’s had a few chances under Moyes and has looked completely disinterested. Harry Kewell, Dimitar berb. Matt Le tiss. Darren Anderton A few decent silky, jinky forward-sometimes-winger types. He's the only player I've ever seen who runs quicker with the ball than without it.
McNeil is a wide midfielder not a wide forward so he fitted in with Dyches 4411 system but is a fish out of water with Moyes 4231 system. Its really as simple as thatI've not seen those games ( I've missed a few this season), but was pleased he got a run last season.
If he's not clicked with Moyes and it's 'one of those' where he's faded, fair enough - that's disappointing.
There's a useful player in there.
