Really hope he can to take a big step up on picking the right option and retaining the ball in the final third. He improved so much in the second half of last season. Needs to keep going that way.

Reasonable shift, work rate is still his best asset. As a baller he is increasingly outplayed by Garner. Fitness might be a issue.

I really like him as a player, in fact I think we have a really good group of young players at the club at the minute that will have good futures for us. They're not all going to be fantastic players or anything but Branthwaite, Garner, Onana and McNeil always put a shift in and do well for us. There's also the likes of Patterson, Mykolenko and Chermiti where the jury is still out on them but they'll probably be good enough for us, at least as a team that's finishing maybe lower mid-table.

I'd be very interested to see McNeil playing fluidly with Danjuma and Harrison as a kind of rotating 3, also I think he'd be great as a wide player if we went 2 up top with DCL and Beto, he has the industry to work hard for us and he has those glimpses of quality too. Still have to remember how young he is and know he's no where near the finished article.
