To be fair he's actually done very well against Bale in our previous games against Spurs.

But their levels of performance have moved in opposite directions and so I could see Neville getting torn to pieces.

He did well last time out against Bale, but Coleman was doubling up with Neville and we had pretty much zero attacking potential down the right. I'd imagine Donovan will be similarly pulled away from attacking duties.

Bale's that good almost all sides in the PL will need to just try and snuff him out and sacrifice something.

I'm not sure if Dier is allowed to play with the first team. The whole Dier thing seems a bit funny unless we can at some point sign him.

My money is on Duffy being on the bench against Tamworth and for Moyes to bring in experienced cover like we've had with Senderos and Gardner on loan in the next week or two. Duffy will then be demoted from the bench and sent back to Scunthorpe.

The defender will use up our last remaining loan and, as Moyes sees no value in the January market, unless he finds somebody out of contract, we'll do without reinforcements upfront until the end of the season. It doesn't matter though, because Anichebe is an important player for us and he's another example of how Everton give young players their break.
