Thinking of investing in a mavic pro. Anyone else got one?
We have a Mavic 2 Pro for work and if you take time to set it up properly and familiarise yourself with the features, then they're pretty easy to use.

As @longers mentioned, with the GPS function and all the sensors it posses then you can quite easily fly it at a distance and it will return back to your location.

You can even fly them beyond the range of the visible eye (either in height or simply distance away from you), but that's pretty frowned upon.

If you're looking at using them commercially then I would recommend going on a drone course (few hundred quid) as they'll soon become far more regulated.

Nah just some fun really. Nice one mate

The lad bought some high speed racing 1 with pov specs as well, he's terrified of it even after 'detuning' it, in fact its not been out of the box for about 18 months, it's stupidly fast. he got it off banggood or aliexpress or somewhere for about £160. 'Eachine Wizard' its called... this guy can fly it

Banggood is not the site I hope it'd be.

I've got a mavic pro, the pics I snap of my neighbors boobs are amazing.

What on earth is the point of personally owning one of these things?

There are a lot more prohibitions either in force now or coming in in many countries. Just looking at somewhere I might visit next week and I noticed that they are enforcing a drone no-fly zone even at distance on property ownership, privacy and visitor safety grounds. And I know that many ski areas and nature reserves have banned them for safety reasons and/or environmental grounds (disturbing wildlife/natural experience).

Not a drone user myself. It could be very useful in what I do and I understand the comments above about being able to get work through being an experienced drone pilot, but there are too many regulations now and on the way in the future for me to invest in one (geofencing, for example).

If I had a drone, I'd fly over Anfield tomorrow, and ***t on the Koppites below.
Or equip it with some extra features.
