Got one of these delivered to work today to test with software our company develops... literally spent the entire day terrorising people in the park across the road from the comfort of my office.

Tempted to buy one for myself although this one costs about £1200 which is about £1000 more than I'm willing to spend.

no-one knock it down?

last time i come across a drone i thought i was being attacked by a swarm of hornets.

Nah, we didn't let it get low enough for anyone to grab it although we had a dog chase it for awhile before it got pissed off and gave up. Was tempted to try and pull some stunts in close(ish) proximity to people but it's a loan unit from DJI so can't be risking trashing it otherwise id be stumping up £1200 to pay for it !

....not sure why you would want to terrorise people in a park. Can understand they have a use but not play things.

Perhaps you can use it to fly up to check the mental state of people hanging around on motorway signs?

We've got a cheap (£100) Chinese drone bought, allegedly, to check our crops etc but we haven't mastered flying it yet and nearly took out a helicopter on its maiden flight. Damn me, they are fast and climb to an amazing height all things considered

I've become fairly addicted to watching Casey Neistat videos on YouTube, he uses one on his daily vlog (whatever that is)

He has single handedly made me want to get one, although I have no reason for one, nor the money to afford one

Amusing for about a minute then never to be taken out of the box again I guess.

Pretty much this

If I was a guy like him above and had 3 million people following me around, watching me do cool stuff in New York etc, I "totes" get it, more than get it. I defo want one...

But I doubt anyone wants to watch me at work or my back garden every day

Plus I already do that anyway, even more pointless.
