Dreading next weekend

I think a positive from the Arsenal game was that we scored 2 goals in the first half which was good since we've scored like 70% of our goals in the second half or something like that. I hope we can keep that up for the rest of our games and score some early goals and control the game with our possession. It was gold watching us hold the ball against arsenal.

It helps to just get into your head that Everton are Boss. Not like recently where we'd show brief glimpses of bossness then revert to type, but a new suave sophisticated bossness that radiates to all Blues and dispatches anyone foolish enough to get in our way.

The thought briefly crossed my mind...however considering this is payback for the Boxing Day debacle and Sunderland looked like they completely gave up today and Poyet looks like his dog died...honestly anything less than an emphatic victory would be the shock of the year.

Liverpool could beat Man City though. They are just as hot as we are and they are the luckiest team in sporting history.

Or, what if Liverpool, City and Chelsea all draw with each other while we win the title with 81 points..
I can't wait even spurs just put 5 past the mackems.we owe them for Boxing Day,god knows how we lost that even with ten men for 80minutes. I predict a very comfortable win for the rampant toffees and fourth place in the table Saturday come on you blues.....

I know I'm a pessimist -- something that comes with having watched our mighty club for over 50 years -- but I can't help but restrain myself from getting carried away with what lies ahead over the remaining weeks of the season.

Instead I find myself weighing up the prospects of this weekends fixtures being disastrous on all fronts. For what if we lose at Sunderland, the RS get another penalty-aided win v City and Chelsea lose another one, and Arsenal win?

Can anyone help me banish such thoughts from my head?

We can only worry about ourselves. And if we can't beat this Sunderland side in two attempts over the season then let's be honest, we aren't good enough to get in the top 4. We should beat them comfortably. Then everyone is thinking about the Man United game. We have Palace before that. Just take one game at a time, and you never know if Arsenal will slip up. Could easily happen.

Forget them, it's a big task for them to beat City and Chelsea but again, if they manage it and get 14 wins in a row, we can't really say that they don't deserve it. Being the age you are, you must be used to them winning the league, even if you've had a peaceful period this last quarter of a century!

Eh, whether we get 4-5th doesn't matter to me too much because I'm convinced that we are going to get hosed in C-League qualifying. For so many years in April-May we've been locked in a place with nothing on the line, Ima going to enjoy this no matter what happens.

I have to admit to sharing this feeling (slight) of dread, like all Blues of advanced years I remember Carlisle Utd.:(......but having voiced it maybe that will break it!

Listen, we are now collecting bonus points. Enjoy your week cause life's too short.

EVERY TIME! Every time we have a boss win, within a day or two there's someone on here shitting themselves about the next game. KOFF. Why so pessimistic after we've just annihilated Arsenal?

Nice display pic :p I literally just watched that episode yesterday...

But on point, I'm also really nervous D: Not for the next one or two games, but by how easy Arsenal have it compared to us for the remainder of the season...

Not that anyone's arsed but @GrandOldTeam has managed to get inside my head and do earlier previews as you're all dead eager to talk about soccer and having to wait until the day before is a bit arl arse.

So you'll have a preview by Wednesday.
NOOO don't do it.....don't change your routine....do it as you normally do....if you do it Wednesday and we lose it will be your fault....don't jinx us
