That's the whole point. Not only did we lose momentum under Johnson (and his predecessors), we've lost momentum under Kenwright, and the more time we're out in the wilderness the greater the danger that everyone settles for mediocrity.

Going back to Wolves: I dare say that in the seventies their supporters were frustrated that they'd ever see their glory days of the 50s again. At some point they gave up the ghost and accepted their lot.
We're on the cusp of that now. A lot of the Blue Union stuff probably reflects a panic that we're sinking now without trace: that we had a couple of golden opportunities in the past decade to catapult us back into the mix for honours and they've been completely blown.

Maybe we should accept slipping into that less stressful environment of also rans. I sometimes wonder if many haven't already made up their minds in that respect.

I live in hope, personally...ironic that, seeing as I'm supposed to be the negative one.

Knew you would look at the plus side, well done. I guess, like me, you will be hoping Citeh smash the RS all over the park tomorrow. Leaving us just 6 points with a game in hand behind the ****e (or 6th place as it should be known).

I get where you're coming from but I don't think we'd ever hear the end of it if the ****e were the ones to stop City's unbeaten run.

We all support Everton here, people support in different ways but at the end of the day we are all under one umbrella.

I find some of the "it will all be OK" views regarding Everton to be mind blowing, but I dont think any less of the people who think that way.
