Maybe Im being harsh. But Howard gets done from distance more times than not....cant say Ive ever seen him make a decent save from a high distance shot. So unless everything that gets hit at him from a long range is 9 out 10 pearly gold belters of shots then fair enough....but it seems to be every long ranger on target that gets him.

I agree, but in his defence a lot of them have been outstanding goals right in corners, its hard to point fingers with a lot of them.

Roberts goal yesterday was similar to Billys, Roberts got into spaced and got a quick shot away that he shouldn't of done and if you see the shot from behind him it went well past Howards reach into the corner at pace.

Would of been an absolutley phenomonal save to of kept it out.

Only way to stop them going in is to close down in midfield. Heitinga and Fellaini would have snapped him before hand ... or at least dispossessed him Fellaini style

This is very true, we've had some absolute crackers scored against us this season for some reason.

Distin is a meter or so out of position, although I think in this case its unlikely it would have made any difference. As far as Howards postioning, he's backpedaling a bit as he reaches the 6 yard line on the second goal, caught out by roberts being allowed to turn. However the 6-yard line is where pretty much every keeper stands when play is that far away from the goal. So basically its a few of you on here, vs every keeper. Ever. You lose.

Tbh i dont remember any other of the long shots that he has been beaten by, but it just seems to me that whenever he does people just use it as an (unjustified) stick to beat him with, without actually looking and judging it fairly, as is the case in this instance. Tbh if the only way people are scoring against you is 30 yard belters then you can't really complain. Ofcourse the fact that that isnt the only way....
