As Donovan (will he get nicknamed 'Jason'?) is supposed to be pretty darn quick, should Moyes use him at right wing, keep Bily left wing and bring Pienaar into the advanced midfield position behind the lone striker? It would be a fine thing to have some solid creativity and freekick winning in the centre and Pienaar has proven internationally that the AM spot is one he favours. Could Donovan fit in straight away seeing as he is supposed to be in form, and how much will the cold get to him because it sure is not California in the north west of England.

Will be quite the novelty to have some genuine pace to break with from midfield, who is the fastest fit striker we have? Could it really be Jo?

When Arteta's back, yes, I'd be all for it. Arteta has the passing ability to bring Pienaar into the game in advanced positions where he can be at his creative best. He can also control possession which keeps us on the front foot.

I'm not convinced a midfield of Neville and Fellaini would be able to do that consistently, they have there strengths, but neither player is brilliant at taking the ball off the back four and starting attacks. I think Pienaar would end up going missing for long periods of he game because of this.

If I was going to use him in a central role I'd play him as an out and out centre midfielder, alongside someone like Phil Neville. He has the tenacity and workrate to play in there and he'd see alot more of the ball.

The cold conditions are perhaps a slight concern re Donovan, especially with some weather gurus forecasting an abnormally cold and snowy winter, but it shouldn't be too much of an issue given how many Brazilians and Africans (amongst others from warmer climes) have been playing very well in far colder European conditions... Kaka for example at Milan and now Madrid, both cities with colder winters than Liverpool.

I've never liked Pienaar in the centre of the park, I saw him play in that role for SA and wasn't convinced. Sure he can play it, but I don't think he's as good at it as people rave on about. He's a much better wide player than central player.

I think once we get Arteta back he'll play Donovan as a utility player, out wide when there are injuries or people aren't performing and centrally when Billy and Pienaar are on song.

I'd rather see Pienaar switched back to the left with Baines.

I think we've missed this, it worked a treat last season.

I'd give Donovan the opportunity to forge a partnership down the right with a settled full-back, ideally Neville.

Shift Bilyaletdinov inside, with the license to roam forward behind the strikers protected by Fellaini in central midfield.

I think what will happen is that depending on who impresses more either Billy or Donovan will be left out. We might suffer on defense with those 3 in the lineup. Though knowing us they'll be a horrid injury or 2 to make Moyes's choise easy.

If we luck out and they are all healthy, the only way we those 3 get in the lineup is if Donovan plays behind the striker in a 4-5-1 or a 4-4-1-1.

Donovan-Pineaar on the left side I think would make a deadly match.

Could be one of a front midfeild three anchored by Neville/Heitinga/Rodders and Arteta. A rotation of Jason, Pienaar, Billy, Cahill and MoFro depending on the game.

5 man midfeild nailed on!
