Don't bring a knife to a gun fight mate. There are dozens of bigoted comments on here and all over social media. Just claiming there aren't doesn't change what's there in black and white

The vast majority of comments i read are about his ability or lack of on the pitch. Like most things the abuse is latched onto and highlighted more. I think you're wrong about large section of the fanbase. And most certainly not match going fans. Has he ever been boo'd at Goodison Park?
Dont mistake a few loons and faceless idiots online as a large section of this fanbase.

100%

That’s £23m for a 3 year contract, £31m for 4 years.
There will be plenty of clubs willing to spend that imo.

We committed in the region of £37m over 4 years for Beto (fee + reported wages)

Like who? Hes not going to any of the big names.

Everyone else isn't paying him £100k a week unless they see him as one of their main players and top earners.

The only club we know that was interested were Newcastle who wanted him as back up, Wilson to leave, and then even eye twitched at his £150k a week wage demand.

Time will tell won’t it.

I’m sure the usual sources will be reporting the usual questionable salaries in due course 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s not about how much per week, it’s the financial commitment over the duration of the contract.

Does a £7m ‘signing on fee’ and £100k / week sound more palatable? Its the same commitment over 3 years.

He’s not going to be a starting striker for any decent team, so I’d be staggered if the sort of teams that are interested have those sort of figures in mind.

Well. I reckon his market value is probably about 7 million so I could see a signing on fee that comes close to that. 28-year-old players worth less than 20 million don't get paid 100k p/w by anybody . He'll get a £5 million signing fee/loyalty bonus and about 60k a week, tops.

Thanks for your efforts Dom, don’t let the door slam on your backside on the way out.

Once you decide to go, you are no longer of interest to Evertonians.
Apart from in the "news of former players" thread.

And thinking back to the last day at the Old Lady. Would've been nice with some ex- players there to see her off, but once you leave Everton you're of no interest to us fans -so off you trot !
