2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

FFS, this boil needs lancing.

Just get him down the road and release him.

He cant score, he's practically useless to Everton, and now he's just determined to leave a trail of bad publicity before some club takes a massive chance and picks him up.

I cant even imagine a situation where this feller pulls on an Everton shirt again.
He's been doing literally the opposite lately you bot. He has been released for all intents and purposes. I'd be very surprised if he stays. I hope for his own mental health he doesn't.

In what way has he been doing that?

He's a footballer, btw. I judge him on that as an Everton fan funnily enough. Ilm not interested in what his shape his private life is in. That's his business.

He cant score regularly and we need someone who does. So he has to go. Now. End of story.

He's been speaking highly of the club in some recent podcasts. Might be trying to get a new contract, but he's not running the club down publicly like you're carrying on.

If you're judging him as a footballer then why are you mentioning off the field stuff?

The last sentence, yes.

He basically tells it all

I listened to this podcast while out running yesterday. It was interesting, honest , good mentions of Carlo , Big Dunc snd Seamus . Provides the human side to Dom but doesn’t really change my view that we need a goal scoring No 9 . Best of luck for the future Dom, I would have had more sympathy if you’d signed when we were crap under Dyche. It’s no big deal , he made his choice based on his needs , time to move on

It’s his business until you want to comment on it

Let him get off. He's a disgrace to the shirt.

Everton fowards should run through a brick wall for the club, he's too worried about his stubble.

Get your skirts packed. You're out.

That's good of him. But what we want is goals. And he cant deliver them.

The feller is just a soap opera now.

We need (and he needs) a clean break from him.

WTF Everton are playing at I dont know.

How difficult is it to release an underperforming play at the end of their contract?

Him and Keane need to go just to remove the ridiculous polarisation of the fan base around these players. Of course fans have different opinions on players but I’ve never known an occasion before where saying you think a player is poor is met with so much vitriol. By any metric, these are not good players, it’s the end of their contracts, we gave them a brilliant opportunity to play first team PL football over the best part of 8 years, they gave us a handful of decent moments amongst mostly abject rubbish, yet for some reason these two have got some of the most entrenched backers around. Far better players have left Everton with more criticism from the fan base than these two. They’re two very average players, Everton isn’t going to fall apart without them, time for everyone to move on.

It's the importation of mental well being that's the worst of this. Everyone can see in the case of DCL that he's just not a player we can rely on. But people take up a position on a player and defend it to the hilt, and are willing to throw the kitchen sink at it.

No one wants to see a player in bad mental shape, but at the end of the day what can fans do about it other than to judge them on their core function at a football club?

Imagine fans 5 years ago never mind 10 years ago debating whether a player should stay or not based on their 'holistic' well being.

Unreal.
