2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Imagine how soul destroying it was spearheading a Dyche super defensive side solo. The frustration was clear in the stands, it must have been very stark setting up all week knowing what was coming. Poison-football.
And those were the good days.

The rest were spent in the treatment room wishing he was out there.

I can totally understand that a fresh start would be something he’d fancy.

Not sure he would safer to try and stay with us, if other clubs fancied him why are they not coming for him ? His last two years performance have been dismal and add to that his awful medical record.

I mean it's interesting that the guy who apparently wanted to leave us at the first opportunity didn't leave us, fulfilled his contractual obligations for the best part of his career isn't it?

Do we not sometimes think sentiment just doesn't match reality?

Only reason he didn't leave is because he got injured, his form dropped of a cliff and the teams he expected to come in for him just didn't.

He still had every intention of binning us off at his first chance.

He signed a 3 year contract in 2017, the first chance he could have left was 2020, its now 2025, that doesn't strike me as the first chance he had.

Just say you don't like him, just say his fashion sense offends you, but please stop talking rubbish.

I always grin at ‘he scored the goals that kept us up’ but if he’d scored more of the chances he missed we wouldn’t of been in the position anyway!

Similar to doucoure. I could never grasp the adulation(and ridiculous money)
If we're having to score goals 45 minutes from the end of the season to stay up then we're clearly getting it wrong for the previous 9 months and got players not cutting it.
Hardly rocket science.

What are you talking about?

So because his talent didnt match his ambition means he didnt want to leave us the first chance he got?

The CL teams didnt come in for him is the only reason he didnt leave. The idea that a team hasnt tried to buy him is a insinuation of loyalty is ludicrous.

Ive got no issue with DCL And id be happy for him to stay as a back up striker. I also dont adhere to the idea that the whole of the the fan base have issues with him because he likes doing fashion shoots.

But If you get a little chub on because he wears skirts now and then who am i to judge

Watkins injured and Solanke has had a long season, wouldn't be surprised if DCL rocks up against Senegal for England in next week's friendly for a run out.

There's a big game goal scorer in there, as he did in his younger days for England to win a World Cup at U20 level, against Palace when the pressure was on and in the derby vs. Liverpool to win it.

There is a player in there, but the burden of responsibility these days shouldn't be on one forwards shoulders, you need three of quality at least in your squad and they are as rare as hen's teeth.

Our priority should be finding another to start and players with quality service down the right.

Don’t be utterly ridiculous.
