2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I don't know if its me being a bit old school or what. But it feels like he is looking for justification and acceptance, when he should be more assured of what he's actually achieved.
He's a Premeir League footballer, whos played for England, and from what i hear from ex acadamy people at Sheff Utd, he's worked extrememly hard to get there. He should be proud of that, he should be enjoying this part of his career.

Its your grief tourists that play on this kind of stuff and make him think that this is what he should be doing to receive acceptance
That’s not how mental illness works though is it , otherwise famous /rich /succesful people wouldn’t suffer from it or on some occasions take their own lives .

Should he be proud , yes . Is he , I’ve no idea .

In that short clip he appeared incredibly genuine . Personally I’ve been critical of some of his performances and as a supporter I think I have a right to be but it wouldn’t alter any sympathy I could have watching him be honest .

Mental illness is not down to presure or being in the public eye though is it?

Mental illness, or healthy mental wellbeing is something regular people go through every day, wether that is triggered through work, financial difficultys, trauma or addiction.
In a way everyone suffers from mental illness, but people deal with it in different ways.

I just dont approve with people like Jake Humphrey or Steven Bartlett playing on that making people think that EVERYONE should share there problems. It dosent work that way for everyone.

Jake Humphrey is not a mental health expert or psychiatrist, maybe Calvert Lewin shpuld speak to these type of profedionals instead.

Real people with real troubles dont share it all over the internet just to boost there ego or get a few likes.

Agree with that. Obviously we're a football club by trade and have to strive to be the best on the pitch otherwise whats the point. I dont think he's good enough for Everton. Its not personal. He's not the first player down the years ive thought that of. Any help he needs away from from the pitch is an absolute given.
Wish him all the best but i think its away from Everton.

Jesus wept, that’s the most ignorant thing I’ve read for a while. Who are you to decide which people have mental health issues?

Finally, I sort of know who Steven Bartlett is 'ish.

I feel for his mental health struggles. I hope he's found a better head space and relationship with the club.

Having Beto come in and score goals so we weren't still in a relegation fight with all of the pressure on someone to score goals and keep us in the league has probably been a bit of a blessing to him.

If he feels that pressure being relied upon then it's probably best he finds a role as a back up unless he feels ready to accept that pressure because it comes with the job as the starting striker and Everton's number 9.

Tbh I had

Tbh I had a higher opinion of him before he found time to speak to that absolute beaut Jake Humphreys.
That lanky streak of piss is one detestable human being, the smug, self righteous bell.
He's an absolute trauma tourist who should be ashamed of himself.
Taking advantage of the 'mental health' industry by using his celebrity status to self prescribe people who listen to try and find meaning when they actually need profesional help
