I can't recall too many other Everton Players having their family members taking digs at the support in public but I do recall Dom's dad making backhanded comments at blues when he made his England debut and I do believe this isn't the first time Dom's missus has said something that has wound up the angry section of our support.

None of that justifies anything that was sent to her, as I've repeated already many times.

Ok, I'll try and stop doing that, but it's got nothing to do with point scoring. It was more meant as a friendly bit of advice.

Anyone can form any opinion they like, but Id doubt anyone rational would read it in an offended way, I less they have an agenda to do so.

It's not a justification it's context for the situation that's happened.

People are asking "Why has this happened?"

These are previous things have happened that will have gone some way to leading to people to believe that what was written in that post was a pop or a dig at them.... Because his family has made pops and digs at the support publicly in the past.

The point was simple.

All players get criticism. It's only Dom's people I can recall of who have stepped into the public sphere and tried to engage fans to defend him from criticism.

His dad has previous for doing it when he got his England cap and I believe I remember his missus getting into disagreements with blues online previously too.

None of this invites or justifies what they were sent but the second you engage with these people you've got a target on your back and because of the previous interactions these mutants were watching for a moment to have a go.

It shouldn't happen but it does and if you don't want to catch any of the abuse off of these people the best way to avoid it is by actually avoiding it unfortunately.
