2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I think DCL can be a very good centre forward again, unfortunately it is unlikely to be for us.

The task he had last season and this was impossible, prime Ronaldo would not score in our team over the last two seasons.

I would be very happy to see him sign a new contract but I don't think that is going to happen. I think we may see Broja stay on loan for another season if/when DCL leaves and hopefully Chermiti will stay free of injury so that we can see what he is capable of.
"impossible" :lol: :lol:

Did he have his legs amputated because it was very possible to score more than he did.

I like the new defense tactic of "if he had better managers he would have scored more." The fact is when given chances to score under said "poor managers" he failed to do so. Putting the ball into the back of the net has nothing to do with the manager. Getting the ball played to you might but scoring doesn't. He's a poor finisher outside of the 6 yard box. Missed a lot of goals others in his position convert.

Time for him and Everton to part ways.
This is more my issue. We can talk about service, management, Yada Yada. He had plenty of very good chances over the years that he just bottled. There is a large enough sample size to form an opinion. He was not a bit part player like Beto, Chermo, Simms or even Broja who has only seen very limited minutes on the field due to injury. He will not get the chance to repair his reputation in all liklihood because Beto has taken his chance and run away with it. Let him get his deal and earn it elsewhere. Good luck to him.

Dom's not played this situation very well at all. Sat there, injured, contract running down and has shocking goalscoring stats.

Good luck getting the 150k a week contract now.

….he’s still in a very good situation. I suspect the move will also be about lifestyle change for his young family, be interesting where he goes (wouldn’t be surprised if he’s got something lined up already).

I can see him in Italy personally.

I think it has never been about the amount of money for Dom, more to do with as many options as possible on the table and making the best decision. You never know, he might still be here come September.
