I did not here any moans when his diving header kept us up under Lampard or his other header made it safe in last year's Derby made it 2-0 to keep us up - Look injury wise & age wise he may be finished - made up Beto has a changed player 100% - DCL cost us very little chosen for England so in the past he has not been that bad - Myself since 1962 have seen great no 9s & bum no 9s - DCL was never a bad no 9 for us - I could list loads who cost a lot of money & never lasted 5 minutes in bygone years as there was no transfer windows .... we just got rid .... & wasted a lot of money .....also let David Johnson go for free to Ipswich in a part exchange deal for Rod Belfitt plus cash- Rod lasted 15 games ..... utter crap ....Johnson he ended up over the park .....

Our team has changed even Beto has explained all this - you would never have known in his cameo appearances or starts under Dyche - there was a beast of a number 9 in him - DM has changed the team all over & many players look very good - O'Brien we never saw him either under Dyche -
Bad Management & coaching with negative football & Hoof ball - never wanted to attack etc - let's just hope with all the injuries we have picked up we can move up the table & Beto keeps terrorising defences hey ....

He’s not been the worst player but he’s been finished for a number of years now we should have cashed in on him the minute he put a run of games together and stayed fit. Never been his biggest fan and not going to be thankful for someone doing their job and being paid handsomely for it. Especially the amount of time he’s had out injury but happily took his wage then wants to run his contract down while serving poor performances on the pitch. Good riddance to him in my opinion.

I think DCL can be a very good centre forward again, unfortunately it is unlikely to be for us.

The task he had last season and this was impossible, prime Ronaldo would not score in our team over the last two seasons.

I would be very happy to see him sign a new contract but I don't think that is going to happen. I think we may see Broja stay on loan for another season if/when DCL leaves and hopefully Chermiti will stay free of injury so that we can see what he is capable of.

Having a go at him for accepting his contracted salary while injured is truly bottom of the barrel stuff hahah

His injury record alone is worrying to even offer him a basic contract TBH - I can see him heading to the far east TBH ... to get the money he is asking for ......

Yeah you can't actually say that. Who's to say we wouldn't have scored more without him? It's impossible to say. But he did score against Palace and he has scored 17 in 4 years. Take the whole thing into account, if a team's MAIN striker scores 57goals in 9 years, wouldn't you say that's not a great striker?
