I really dont get this. Would you prefer people to be more fickle. I mean when ashley young gets sent off and it costs us where do you want them to post? When we're sitting bottom of the table without a single point where do you want them to post? If our striker is missing one on one chances on a regular basis where do you want them to post?
Its an Everton forum. people are still posting in those above threads you just mentioned as they realise its not all buttercups and daisys. If you go in the match day threads you see how made up people are with wins. Then if you go into individual threads people go into a bit more detail than match day threads as to what they think. As we're in this one right now ive scrolled through since saturday and the vast majority have praised his game but also noted he had glorious chances to score and not for the first time this season hasnt finished them.
I dont know what the problem is pointing out that over a season you need a striker to be finishing them.
I mean it is an Everton forum. It is about this particular player. And it is a valid point.

He's overall game is good, certain parts exceptional, but one glaring problem, he's a striker whose an appealing finisher.
He's good enough for 'current' Everton when the system set up needs those things he does well, if we do change tactics under a new manager then his inability to finish one on one will stand out even more.
Put it into context Lukaku with the chances DCL had would be on about 7-8 goals by now and we'd be sat on around 15 points.

I like him and he's by far our best option up front at the moment in my opinion

Yeah- he's an interesting one because he looked lively at Southampton, but not done anything of note for a long while. I'm not overly optimistic, but would be delighted to be wrong

He cost that because he came here when he was a youngster, Tosun (for arguments sake) cost what he did as when we signed him he had just finished top scorer in the group stages of the Champions League Joey. Do you know that last season the team had a higher xG than we ever did under the Ancelotti team. DCL was one the most underperforming players in the top 5 leagues in Europe, its nothing to do with not creating chances, it's in his head. He needs a sports psychologist, he is a player who has missed a chunk of his career with serious injuries and his confidence is shot to bits and he needs a lot of work to get it back imo.
He has also scored vital goals twice to stop us get us relegated - he needs to start scoring - they have set piece coaches now - surely we must have a one on one specialist at the club - he goes straight on at the keeper leaving himself no angle to finish - the best of it he had done the hard work winning the ball off the defender to create his own chance in the first miss - he headed far to straight towards the keeper he needed any angle to slot it in to score - Roy Vernon was the master of drawing a keeper to attempt to dribble around him & at least score or get a pen ..... Though Roy was a demon of a player .....
His 2nd one on one was the same, just ran straight in, no angle created to make the keeper think .....
He has to practice this as it's been a long term problem, not just Saturday.....

Dyche has one of the smallest coaching teams in football mate, its very odd really and shows he really doesn't do anymore than the bare basics at clubs. He has been asked about this and doesn't think he needs one (well better teams than us have them which would suggest he is wrong, its also about variety and options) I very much doubt we have a specialist attacking coach, Stone and Woan were both wingers so will know about one on ones but neither of them were world beaters. I agree with what you are saying mate, there are a few back room changes I would make tbh.
