If he stays healthy he'll get his contract here or elsewhere with a signing on fee. He's in a position of strength, though there is some risk.
That does depend on what happens in the next two days.
I still think he will leave and I think it may be Newcastle but I would think DCL is disappointed with the lack of interest in him.
He needs a good, healthy season to secure a good contract elsewhere and that is far from certain.
 

financially he will be better off as more of the money in the deal will go to him rather than to everton, but from a footballing point of view, I tend to agree with you, he goes to a better club, he wont be starting as many games, he goes to a similar or lesser club, he's sold his career for cash.
His call like, he has to look after himself and his family but I'd rather he stayed and was boss for us.
Less clubs though… at this point in time. 😬🫣
Can see him joining a higher club and being second fiddle. Playing in Europe and getting a few medals.
