Unless handed to him on a plate inside the 6 yard box he is pretty useless. Doesn’t create anything for himself, can’t score outside the box and doesn’t really make anything happen for anyone else. He’s an impact sub at best that had a lucky spell. Shame his purple patch didn’t come at the end of the season and we could have cashed in.

But the DCL fan boys say they wouldn’t accept £80m for him

Playing upfront on his own with no service, seriously mate have a word, a proper CF plays in the box, what do we offer to him nothing? Balls in the box are awful if any

An inch away from a goal today. Tried but was at fault for not following Wilson leaving him unmarked for the first goal. The lad needs a little bit if luck as having none at the minute

exactly - this is the same phenomenon that had Rom called lazy, just because he couldn't beat four defenders by himself and then square the ball to Alcaraz so he could pass it backwards

Why doesn't he pick it up on the half way line rip 5 and score each week? Clearly not good enough if he can't do that..

You’re right there, Carlo’s turned him into a penalty box striker plying the width of the box. Does look like he’s lost some of that energy/aggression of a season or so ago when he was a nightmare to play against.

Games like today’s show that we need another type of striker to bring off the bench. Dom is great at a handful of things, but when the opponents shut that down it’s really hard for him to have an impact. We need someone who can create chances with the ball at his feet.

I thought he was just rubbish today. Constantly on his heels and his touch was dire. He has to take responsibility to carry the ball if he wants to become a proper striker. He has pace but too lazy to use it today.

He was coming further and further back to get the ball as the game went on, even drifting out wide

I used my triple captain on him in fantasy football today, as having seen how utterly gash Newcastle have been I thought he bag about 6.
