Dominic Calvert-Lewin watch

Well Farkes record in the PL is pretty woeful isn't it?

DCL also seemed to do quite well under Ferguson and Silva.

I mean, if you think Farke is this great attacking coach, we will have to agree to disagree. Same re Jack Harrison being a great provider.
Ferguson and Silva. My, my we are grasping at straws now

He scored a massive 6 in an entire season under Silva, which is his standard. Ferguson's time doesn't merit a discussion, it was a caretaker spell.

I was told Leeds attacking football would do wonders for him and yet somehow here we are in October adding yet another manager to the list who cannot work out how to make him score.

No goal posts moved.

They are both utter rubbish, why cant you just admit that Jake?

Here, Calvert-Lewin is utter rubbish, see how easy it is, now you do Beto.

I get it, you dig in and you defend, but at some point you gotta hold your hands up and call it.

Well his choice was either Leeds or remain without a club. Are we suggesting he had numerous offers on the table and chose Leeds United in mid August here?
I have no idea mate. According to him be had numerous offers on the table, some from CL clubs. I’m sure we can all imagine the level of CL clubs involved if we’re to take him at his word.

Of course, he could have tested free agency beyond the borders of the transfer window.

In any event it’s not been a good move for him. Nor does it bode well that his best hope for rediscovering what form he once had is working under yet another manager and basically just hoping for the best.

Of course he did. And he chose Leeds. As you do.

I've got multiple offers from CL clubs too, in my head, when I day dream about what could have been If I was blessed with just the 1 left foot instead of 2, pace and skill

I'm not sure what straws I'm allegedly grasping at. You're busy telling us Betos 8 goals in a year is good, so 6 is ok?

Who told you Leeds attacking football would do wonders for him? Id disagree with that, they're not a very good team, and have poor attacking players.

You're not sure what straws your grasping at as you reference DCL's record under Ferguson who, let me check my notes here, managed for 4 matches. Come off it mate, that's plainly not a serious shout.

I don't think I've said Beto's 8 goals is good. I said it's the most goals an Everton striker has scored in 12 months since Ancelotti. Reaching back to Silva and Ferguson, or to Richarlison, suggests you know that shout to be true as well.

As for Leeds not being a very good team with poor attacking players you've once again moved your goalposts from a few months ago when you were saying this.

Decent move for DCL really. Joined a big club and stays in the PL.

I agree with all of that mate.

I suppose from his angle he would have wanted more money and to be playing on the PL, ideally for a big club (not like Bournemouth or whatever). He's achieved those objectives if it goes through. Maybe in time it won't work out, but as of today, it's a decent move for him.
And I would imagine Leeds will be better for a striker than last season and Dycheball mate.

Basically this. I'm kind of amazed it's being spun as a bad move for him. Leeds are a good, big club.

I didn't teach back though, you asked what managers others than Ancelotti he scored for. I'm not sure how you want me to answer that without including said managers.

Re Leeds, what goalposts have I moved? They are not a very good attacking team, but are a PL club paying him over double what we were. Can you understand both of those things are true without contradicting the other.

You just seem a bit obsessed with all this.

The bottom line as things stand, is DCL, who cost us 1 million has the same goals combined, as our two big money strikers, while playing for a team that have Jack Harrison making changes for him.
