A paralyzed man woke up to find his dog eating one of his testicles.

The 39-year-old, who has no feeling from the waist down and sleeps in the nude, woke up after feeling a burning pain in his mid section.

When he looked down he saw the "small white fluffy" animal between his legs with blood on his muzzle and feet.

Then the man realised that one of his testicles was missing, according to KAIT8.com.

He was taken to hospital and treated for his injuries and the dog - a stray which had been taken in about three weeks earlier - was put down.

Its remains were sent to the Arkansas Department of Health and tested for rabies.
