Does anyone follow a second team?

I still follow them, and I also look out for the results of their Fife rivals Raith: as a football-daft (or just plain daft) teen, I saw loads of games at Raith's ground as they alternated their home games with East Fife's, meaning I could see a match every Saturday.

Marine AFC - used to live about 500 yards form their ground.
Las Vegas Raiders and the Chicago Bears - NFL
Aston Martin and McLaren F1 teams.

If I HAD to follow another PL team (Everton ceased to exist for some reason) I'd chose Crystal Palace. I also like Nottingham Forest - because they p***** the RS off in the late 70's (boss that!)
 

Prescot Cables.

Only went down to kill some time on a Saturday afternoon a few years ago but found myself going back and it eventually getting under my skin. No real conflict of interest as they're in completely different footballing worlds. Did find myself supporting Cables when they've played Everton U23s in the Liverpool Senior Cup as the game meant more to me as a Cables fan than it did as an Everton fan.

If Cables drew Everton in the FA Cup I'd support Everton though. Highly unlikely though given Cables would have to win around 8 FA Cup games to get to the 3rd Round.

I certainly saw Forfar more times than I can remember... but never when the scoreline ended up in that announcer's dream (and don't get me started on announcers who put the emphasis on the second syllable in "Forfar"). The crowd at Bayview were always merciless to both teams, and after my first trip to Goodison I told my dad it was "like the Bayview of England", in terms of the way the fans got on their own players' backs - so I felt quite at home.

And speaking of Forfar: when their goalkeeper was Stewart Kennedy, infamous for being in goals for Scotland in a 5-1 defeat at Wembley, I remember the abuse he got at Bayview was something else. Almost makes us Toffees seem civilised...
