Just in from watching Buckie Thistle in the Highland League. 1-0 down , hit bar , hit post , spurn easy chances , miss a penalty , equalise and win it 2-1 with a spectacular overhead bicycle kick a la Rooney . 20 league wins on the bounce , the perfect Everton antidote .

Absolutely. As posted elsewhere, my mother was born and raised in Inchicore, and my Dad's grandfather used to own Richmond Park as a lairage for his butcher's business. So I have a soft spot for StPat's.

However, I was brought to Milltown when I was very young. The privilege of knowing Peter Farrell just reinforced my love of the Hoops and Everton.

Sheffield Wednesday and some team in Glasgow as well. Really though only Corks hurling and gaelic football teams and Carlton in the afl, are equal to Everton in terms of emotional investment and passion.
