Mostly the political threads where there is good debate going on that sometimes leads down an ugly path for some users that gets a thread locked.

Rather see the offenders just thread banned so the debate can continue.

I don't even participate in those threads, but I do like to read them.

Not every single decision we make is 100% approved of, put it that way. Real life meetings between poster and mod have even taken place to smooth things over. We do take folk seriously if someone thinks we have erred.

I think regarding the politics type threads a poster or posters lose their cool, and a temporary thread ban would be just the medicine to let them cool off.

Thread bans are flexible. For example, in a match thread, I will ban a poster asking for a stream for a day, but let them view the thread.

Idiots in the transfer thread usually get a perm, and also cant even view it.

Not going to comment on individuals though.
